Guided Mode is perfect for players who want a little more than direction and clearer data. Markers and waypoints will be shown entirely, letting you know exactly where y'all need to get and optimizing your route. This offers a more traditional open-world game experience at the cost of immersion.

Explorer Way yet shows you an objective marker in your compass wheel at the summit of the screen but information technology won't give specifics. Instead, information technology will only show the full general direction you'll need to head in to accomplish your location. It's the better setting if you'd rather accept more immersion, but finding where you need to go will exist a tad more hard.

You can switch between Explorer Way and Guided Mode freely at any time. Go into Settings and you'll run into the pathfinding options under General. Not but tin can you swap the modes, but yous tin can too combine them if you lot'd rather have minimal direction for your quests but total direction for your waypoints or vice versa. Ultimately the choice between the two modes is purely a personal preference; there's no "correct" style because at that place's no "right" way to have fun, so pick whichever will give you a more enjoyable experience.
